First day of curation in the Well Gallery at LCC for the interactive guys and their work. About 6 hours of moving around bits of masking tape and staring at diagrams, thinking about sound, light and size. Gosh, what a furore.
The right-hand side of the gallery. It took 3 rolls of masking tape to mark out all the work going in the space. I can't claim that back. £2.10 on masking tape in one day. Ridiculous. It features my City Of Glass piece on full beam right across the space.
The left hand side of the gallery where Tomomi Sayuda's Joyster piece and others.
One of the many plans we poured over. Doing interactive stuff in a space is a lot harder than just hanging pictures or clothes. We have to think about how the noises of pieces would effect others, how people would use them, how people would flow in the space and how we spaced things to avoid congestion.
Varavara's meticulous planning.
And once again, creative mess. A table of plans, maps, tape and notes.
