My 'Patachronic Clock V

God yes, I know I haven't posted in ages but my life is too full of interesting, wonderful and exciting things that I'll be doing while you're reading this. And yes, it's about my work. Sorry.

Version 5, the final one as far as I know, maybe, maybe not. But probably. Or not. Basically I was staring at the ceiling and realised that building this thing will kill me. If it's not motors blowing up in my face or killer spiders in boxes of clocks from China it will be the work. The concept is simple enough and so I'm cutting the work by two thirds and just building one level of the clock. The minute wheel.

The clock will now also be vertically mounted instead of lying on the floor, giving it a bit more of a clock-like vibe.

There's a 4RPM high-torque synchronous motor behind the sprocket. That little guy has 25 teeth to the full wheel's 100 teeth. The synchronous motor is immune to voltage fluctuations so it'll be at a regular and constant speed. They're not cheap though.
